Each map in Zooba has its own terrain features that can work in your favour — or against you. Here's what to watch out for in each biome.
Central Zoo & Zoo Rail
These maps share the same core terrain features:
- Bushes — Step into a bush and you'll be hidden from enemies beyond a certain distance. That distance varies depending on the character — some Zoobers have abilities that let them spot hidden opponents from much further away than others. Use bushes for ambushes or a quick escape, but never assume you're safe — another player could be hiding right next to you!
- Ice — Slippery terrain that makes you move faster, but also increases how far you get knocked back when hit. Both effects are always active at the same time, so ice is high risk, high reward — great for closing gaps, but dangerous if you're caught off guard.
- Water — Moving through water leaves you vulnerable: you can't attack or use your Skills while inside it. Two items can change that: Holy Sandals let you walk on top of the water with no restrictions, and Snorkel lets you move through it undetected — like a moving bush. Both restore full combat ability while active.
Volcano Park
Volcano Park adds a layer of environmental danger with its lava terrain. The lava cycles through three states — and only damages you when it's fully active. Keep moving and learn the cycle to avoid taking unnecessary damage.
Scattered across the map are water puddles that heal you over time while you stand in them — restoring HP every second. Use them to recover between fights, but only when you're safely outside the red zone!
